ideas to lose weight faster/better

I started the special k challenge on monday but i am now regretting it i also started going to the gym im doing good at the gym but im not sure what way to work out. my goal is to lose 35 pounds, what will help, and in what order and for how long? I noticed the special k challenge is just the calories so how do i check the calories so i can eat other things buit still follow the same diet plan? what bread? or what can i put it in it things like that?

  • Read about the glycemic index. You will see what foods to avoid so you can be healthy and have more energy to work out. The gym should have someone who can help you figure a work out regiment. If not, you can build your own. Look for workouts online that work on the places you need to focus on. I like the guy that was on Dr Oz's program yesterday. I forgot his name but he's on Dr Oz's website.

  • watch out for the sugars and sodium levels in special k - they're really high.

    make a lifestyle change. if you go in with the intentions of only 'dieting' for a time period you'll go right back to where you started. change everything permanently. sure you can have cheater moments (we all do) but don't go back to eating like you were.

    -eat small meals frequently
    -lots of water
    -avoid WHITE food, go for the rainbow! white stuff is usually filled with sugars and other garbage that are bad for us.
    -whole grains
    -lean meats

  • Lose it fast, gain it fast. Diets and diet aids (if they even work) are temporary fixes. Unless you learn how to eat healthy for life, you will not be able to maintain a healthy weight and will stay on the gain/lose roller coaster - frustrating for you and hard on your body. Drink at least 8 8oz glasses of water every day. Eat 5-6 servings of whole grains (brown rice, whole grain bread, etc.) every day. Eat 7-8 servings of fruits and vegetables every day, in at least 3 different colors. Eat at least 2 servings of legumes every day. You will lose weight. You will have more energy. You will maintain a healthy weight. You will get sick less often. You will be setting a wonderful example for your children.     Eat an apple or a big pile of vegetables before meals.
