Congress creates BIG 2010 tax increase for the middle class! New IRS tax tables change withholding rate and give government a big interest free loan.

Talk about sneaky!!!! They don't have to actually raise taxes, they can just change the withholding tables. The changes give the government a big loan until you file your taxes next year. The only way to change the rate is to increase exemptions on your W4 form.

Please have a look so that you will know how this will effect your family.

  • Wow, and he promised no additional taxes on the middle class or those making under $250,000. Who'd a thunk it?

  • See they will say it isn't a tax increase though because you might can get it back when you file your return.

This will effect the lower classes as well because they changed the whole table!

You have to give them an A+ for sneakiness!

  • I think what people will care more about is the fact that they will have even less disposable income every pay period. I have a feeling that there will be a lot of uninformed people raising hell as they start to see less and less of their pay and more and more demands from government.

My first response was flippant. I completely agree with Carpy. I hardly find myself surprised, in fact I think this was very predictable.

  • Nice. So once again those of us who actually take care of ourselves and our families pay out our asses.

  • I think we can look at this more as a gift since we won't see anything back in our returns. I mean, they have to pay those bribes with something and we all know the dollar is going to crap.
