  • At 2 1/2 my son was potty trained. It all depends on the child. I think my son that just turned 2 will be closer to three before we start trying.

  • Out of 3 boys I began training with all of them at 2. One was fully trained, dry all night by age 3, the next by 2 1/2 and the last was 5 ( he has medical problems). Boys are generally not ready before 2..some not until they are 3. The important thing is once you start dont stop and be consistant. No punishment..only rewards and praise for success.

  • I started with my son a little after he turned 2 and he was fully potty trained at 2 1/2. He was a snap to potty trained compared to my older two girls (who I also started with shortly after they turned 2 but they weren't using the potty until after they turned 3).

  • My twins started training at 18 months. One was fully trained by age 2, the other at 2 1/2. Good luck.

  • I started sometime after 2. But, he was showing all the signs. He was trained by 2.5 including at night.

    Readiness signs are:

Can verbally express the need to potty(he won't at first, but, it helps if he can)
Can pull down his pants on his own(again, he won't but it helps.)
Can stay dry through naptime, or at least two hours straight
    Isn't scared of the potty
Will sit and try when taken.

He may not do these at first, just be consistant and stick with it. Day training will happen first, then night.

  • All children are different as to when they are ready to be trained.

That said my oldest was just over 2 when he trained and he was fully trained in a week. My youngest was just over 2 when he started then we stopped and started again around 2 1/2 and within a month he was trained completely.
