Anyone else dealing with a teacher from hell?

She won't do anything extra, she says 'it's not her responsibility and not in her job description.'
She gives homework just for the sake of giving the kids more work to do.
She won't give any extra help.
She lies, I called her on it.
She lacks communication skills.
She resembles a sergent. She is referred to as Sergent 101.
She is a yeller, loud mouth she doesn't know how to talk.
Her students don't like her and they mimic her and laugh about it.
Her colleagues back her. Why do professionals sick up for each other? Making them look just as bad.
How do/did you and your child get through this? for an entire year?
Thanks we are about to loose our minds over this.

  • What a shame, if what you say is true, I would report her to the superintendant of the schools. She has broken very basic education 101 rules you learn when you first go to college to be a teacher. I am lucky, my kids are in private schools and we have awesome teachers.

  • I don't know the age of the child or the grade they are in, but is changing teachers a possibility? Talking to the principal? The yelling alone should not be tolerated by the school, not to mention the lying and not trying to communicate.

  • i would say if the child cant be changed to a new classroom i would be changing my child to a new school (the district office will ask why on the forms and you can report her that way too)
