  • does anyone know if taking vit d supplements works? i thought it was something that your body had to produce when your skin was exposed to the sun? milk is supplemented w/ vit d, and most people drink a lot, and still are vit d deficient. just curious.

  • Milk actually is not a good source of Vitamin D. Yes, a supplement works. It's how I was able to get out of a mid-afternoon funk.

    I heard you only need 2000 IU a day, so I'm not sure on the answer for you, OP. I recommend asking a doctor or a pharmacist.
