When did oyu stop burping your son/daughter? My son is 2 years old, and he drinks out of a cup now, but it's finally getting annoying! When did you stop burping?

  • It's moments like this that you realize that perhaps they really DO need to print out a manual for parenting.

  • OH my goodness.... 2 years old? My son would have a fit. I stopped between 6 & 8 months, when he was eating more solid food and could burp on his own.

  • I stopped burping around 8months I think. She would just never burp and she hated being held for so long with me trying that I just gave up. No gas problems or anything once I stopped either.

  • about 6-8 mos... but she would burp on her own, or I could kinda twist her a little to the side and get it out by 6 mos.

  • yeah, I stopped at about 6 months if not before that. How in the hell do you burp at 2 year old? I find it strange no one told you before now that you don't have to keep burping them.

  • I don't know the age, but before one. No reason to burp a toddler or older child. I think once dd was holding her own bottle/cup
