  • I would ask your doctor.

Pregnant women should not have alot of Vitamin "A". So NO liver. I am anemic ( after the fact with a child and LOVE liver and can have quantity....oh and fried chicken livers.....Mmmm the best! LOL )

AND ask about foods that have alot of iron needed. Here is a web site I found for ya.

As previous poster added......Blackstrap molasses is great for it. I think what? A tablespoon or so a day? Ask your doctor to be on the safe side!

    One more site for ya:

  • Blackstrap molasses is high in iron. so r dandy lions. make sure u don't take iron and calcium together. I think calcium blocks iron absorbstion(either that or it is the other way around). also vit c helps iron absorb. Here is a website w/ a list of iron rich foods that I just googled

  • Ask your doctor, I have pernicious anemia, and I have to have a monthly B12 shot...oh and hydrate hydrate hydrate while nursing. You should be in a quiet place, very calm and comfortable with a huge glass of water while nursing. Relax as much as possible. Good luck
