Newborn headbands?

Okay surly someone here knows how big around to make a newborn headband? I was told to cut the "FOE" to 12" for a newborn is this correct, or? I'm thinking it may be correct, because when its completely stretched out, it can fit my 20 month old daughter, any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

  • Measure around baby's head where you want it and then subtract 2-3 inches or go to the store and measure the ones there. 12" sounds about right though.

  • I have one of my daughters that looks pretty realistic, and it fits her, one of them kind of slides down, but it's not to small by any means.

  • I don't like headbands on babies. My mom used to just tape a bow in my hair. I think that's safer ...but you didn't ask that, huh? sorry. I just had to throw in my two cents worth.
