  • This is exactly why I pay cash for everything. I refuse to use credit to purchase anything. If I don't have the cash in hand, then it will wait. My son had a very nice Christmas and it was paid for when I took the items home.

  • I have a Christmas club account and that helps tremendously! I will use a portion of my income tax return to deposit in there.

  • Only buy as much as you can comfortably pay cash for AFTER all the living expenses are paid. Then you won't have to worry about after Christmas bills.

  • We paid cash for all our holiday shopping although we still have to buy some gift cards for my friends' kids because we didn't have the money before Christmas (thanks to having to have the car towed twice and get 4 new tired just days before Christmas...hubby must have ran something over on his commute).
We don't have credit cards anymore and even when we did we didn't spend much on Christmas.
