In the medicaid booklet it states that even if you do not comply with child support offices, they will not take away insurance for a if you have been keeping certain things like where the bio father is, from the child support office, would this be considered fraud punishable with a penalty, or are they referring to other forms of welfare.

  • You have to give them all info about the bio father even if abuse has occured. Even if he has threatened to kill you if you tell them. Even if you aren't sure but may have any clues or know any relatives or friends that might know. I've been in that situation. This is for Medicaid.

  • So what happens if you have had medicaid during pregnancy and do not give the information? What can they do if they cannot prove anything?

  • If they find out you didn't tell them they can bar you from getting any benefits for ten years and come after you to reimburse what they have spent on you.
