Has anyone heard of a vaginal C-section and what is it?

A friend of my parents is due around the same time I am and she said that she is having a vaginal C-section. We have never heard of this and couldn't find anything on Google about it. So I was just wondering if anyone has heard of this and could explain to me what it is. Thanks for your help.

  • yeah i think she was misinformed...? maybe she meant she was going to "try" vaginal and if that didn't "work" have a c-section? OR maybe she meant vaginal birth after c-section (VBAC)? the term vaginal c-section is just making me cringe and i think i might have nightmares....
