  • if you have a laundry machine in your place you'll be fine with 4 or 5 of each item... onsie's, shoes, socks, sleepers, footie pjs, couple pairs of pants and shirts... mostly onsies though.. those are the best! and maybe 4-5 good blankets too... congrats

  • You do realize that you won't be allowed to take the baby home if you don't have a carseat? You'll also need baby wash clothes/towels, diaper ointment, diapers, baby therometer, bottles, nipples, Dreft detergent, portable changing pad, nail clippers, pacifers (??), etc.

  • get 3 or 4 large (36" square or bigger) thin receiving blankets - they are great for swaddling and all kinds of other things too (burp cloth, sun shade, play mat, blanket, etc)

  • Diaper bags; 1 large for traveling or being away from home for a few hours, 1 small-medium for shorter outings but big enough for a change of clothes, diapers, wipes, and a few bottles(if/when ff). You need 10 sleepers, 10 onsies, 10 outfits, 10 socks(they make messes and often, sometimes poop goes up the back until about 3 months old and adjust to the milk), baby lotion, baby body wash, hats, hand mitts t prevent scratching, shoes are ot necesary but a personal prefference, depending on how cold it is in your area a car seat cover the has an opening to peek in on baby, a boppy pillow for nursing, if you could afford a carseat stroller combo, a pacifier so that you don't become a human one, anything you might think is useful!!! You could get a basinet until the baby out grows it then get the crib, again preference, a teady bear that plays the sound of a beating heart in the womb; DO NOT PUT TOYS, EXTRA BLANKETS, PILLOWS, CNTD
