Which One Are You?

you're trying to lose weight by exercising & eating right, yet the scale hasnt budged for a few weeks. do you A) get depressed, lose all motivation, & slowly go back to your old life, B) get depressed, but use it as motivation to work even harder, or C) ignore the scale & focus on how healthy your new lifestyle makes you feel?

im A. i get bummed out when im doing all this work, but reaping no reward. my DH is B & thinks most ppl are like him. i just wanna see if he's right.

  • I used to get depressed. Those plateaus suck but I've turned into a C. I'll get to my goal weight eventually so until then I'll just eat better and exercise more and not worry about it.

  • I HATE scales. We do not own one and proably never will. I got to the doctors 2 times a year and that is enough scale time for me. I KNOW if Im gaining or loosing. I have been with in 5lbs ever since I had my first child 15 yrs ago. I know if my jeans are getting tight or not, and if I look in the mirror when Im naked I notice if I need to firm this or that up.

    So I guess my answer would be C

  • I have manged to lose almost 25 lbs in the past 4 months, have been watching carbs and taking Vitamin D--oh but it feels so slow!!!! I do have 1 day a week where I will eat mexican food, but that is it , will do better on the exercise part!

  • All my life I was an A. When I had my first daughter I became a C and lost 80 lbs in a little less than a year and felt great. In my experience having the C attitude is what works.
