  • My dr told me 16-20 oz of milk/day. After that my son gets water.

  • 1/2 an oz of milk per pound of body weight. That is what my pedi told me. My LO can't really have any more than 8 oz a day because it constipates her.

  • No more than 24 oz of dairy products. So if the child eats a yogurt & a string cheese every day, then 12 oz milk is plenty. My kids were all drinking at least a quart (32 oz) of formula at 11.5 months, but cut back when it came to milk. They drank (still do) a little juice, watered down, and also plenty of water.
