Any mommies with good grammar skills?

What's a better word for "tentative" in this sentence? Or does it work?

  • I think tentative works perfectly fine in the sentence and wouldn't change it.

  • Hmmm. How about, "I am not able to confirm an appearance at this time, but let's pencil that date in tentatively? I will confirm with you on xxxxxx."

  • At this time, I am only able to give you a tentative commitment; I will contact you when I am able to commit, or to reschedule.

  • I'm sorry but tentative doesn't work.  It means uncertain and if you play back your sentence using that word, it doesn't make sense.

"I am unable to confirm an appearance at this time but I will definitely keep the date uncertain."

    The word available works.

"I am unable to confirm an appearance at this time but I will definitely keep the date available."
