  • No you dont leave the hospital looking 9 months pregnant. I walked out after 3 days right back in my prepregnancy pants.

  • 9 months on...9 months off. As far as fitting into pre-pregnancy clothes, don't even think about it for about 8-12 weeks.

  • Everyone is different. I had a C section and I definitely didn't look pregnant when I left the hospital, just fat LOL. Breastfeeding really helps your uterus return to it's original size and it burns calories too, so you'll lose weight a little faster that way. Just don't expect to be hopping back into your skinny jeans anytime in the first month at least!

  • I looked about as good as I get at one week post partum with my last pregnancy. It took quite a few weeks with my first, maybe even months. Wearing a belly band or post partum support garment really helps your body get back to normal after delivery, especially following a c-section. I could not have survived without my girdle!

  • I'd say you leave looking closer to 5 or 6 months than 9. There's no baby in there, after all. It normally takes 2-6 weeks for the uterus to shrink completely down to pre-preg size.

  • when i got out i didnt look pregnant at all. I was only 4lb more then my pre-pregnancy weight. But i still cant wear most of my clothes because my hips got bigger so i had to get pants a size bigger. I also only gained 24lb during my pregnance. So it was ALL baby.

  • I think it's different for everybody. I was 37 when I gave birth, so my body definitely didn't just jump back. Matter of fact, we're 16 months later now, and I don't think I'll EVER go back to the way I was. I hate my mom-pouch :|
