How do you beat out the cravings?

I love food, so naturally I love to eat. I am really trying to lose weight but I have a problem with not eating the foods I love.

  • Either don't prepare them, or prepare healthy versions.

  • I don't give up foods really. I find that it just makes for stronger cravings. However, I do love to cook and bake and have found ways to have my favorite foods and incorporate them in a healthy living plan. I can bake fantastic "oven fried chicken" rather than frying for about 1/3 of the calories and all of the taste. For me, I made a list of the things I love to eat and then started searching for substitutions. It's worked well and I've lost quite a bit of weight. I'm just not someone who can go on a "diet" and start restricting foods... I'd just end up bingeing. I eat in a way I can sustain for a lifetime. No point otherwise.
