Emergen-C or airborne while BFing

I feel like i'm getting sick, bad news. can i take either of these?

  • Yes, you can take them. I have loved Emergen-C. It is suggested by my doctor and midwives.
    I love lots of garlic, too. But start slow with that in case it's upsetting to baby.

  • I don't trust these.High doses of C can give you diarrhea.Just stick with a multi vitamin and up your fluid intake.And get some rest if you can.

  • ok then,I wouldn't because of the high doses of stuff in it.Ask your doctor.I always figure,if you wouldn't directly give it to your baby,don't put it in your body while breastfeeding.Stick with the stuff you're prescribed only to be safe.

  • i took emergen-c while pregnant and breastfeeding. i love them because i can feel them work! i also drink more water, eat chicken soup (the broth really does help a cold), and avoid dairy and sugar. i hope you get to feeling better soon!

  • i am a huge fan of emergen-C; my one concern with breastfeeding is the zinc.

  • I take emergen-c with no problems. My DD is 15 months and I've been taking it occasionally since she was born.
