It has been about a month since I have been "fired" can I still collect unemployment? Is there a certain amount you had to make before to qualify?

  • If you were fired for cause, you likely cannot collect...but file anyway (which should have been done immediately). At least in CA, there are no limitations on income to qualify.

  • You should apply anyway just to see.

  • If you are 'fired' you can not collect unemployment. Your claim will be denied.

  • You should defintely file. Unless you stole or hit someone, you should still be able to collect.
