Is she over feeding him?

A friend of mine has a 3 month old baby and she feeds him 8 or 9 ounces of formula per feeding. He is very fussy and every time he cries she gives him a bottle. I know all babies are different but my son ate 4 ounces at a time a 3 months. She made him a bottle when he started crying only a half hour after he finished a 9 ounce bottle. I wonder if he's so fussy because his tummy hurts.

  • hrm well if he eats it he's probably hungry my 3 month old is eatting 6 oz at a time 8 or 9 does sound like a bit much and she should probably try holding him and playing with him first to see if he's just bored instead of hungry but babies arent like goldfish and wont eat if they arent hungry

  • She may be feeding him too much or the wrong kind of formula, if she formula feeds. It does sound like she needs to figure out why he's crying instead of just feeding him. Of cours he's going to stop crying if his mouth is full!
