what should i do?

My daughter is constipated and gave her prum juice twice already and she hasnt poop! she push and push but nothing comes out.what else can i do?should i call the DR tomorrow morning or there is something else i can do?please help.

  • Lube to the anus or suppository will most likely be what your doctor does. You can do that yourself.

  • The doctor wont do anything unless she has been this way for a while. I would suggest putting her in a warm bath and rubbing her tummy that will help.

  • Our doctor suggested Karo corn syrup mixed with water in a bottle. That or taking the baby's temperature rectally will stimulate her butt to poop.

  • It is not unusual for a breastfed baby to go more than a week without a bowel movement.

  • Breastfed or formula? For a breastfed baby it's normal to not poop. But if she's struggling to pass hard dry pellets, then up the fluids and back off all solids.
