  • Do you have an infant carrier? If so, maybe you can stop at a Babies R Us and pick up a cover for it. It's like a heavy suede and fleece material that hooks around the carrier and has a zipper up the middle. It will keep her nice and warm. Number 1 thing though is make sure her head and ears are covered with a warm warm hat. Babies lose most of their heat through their head so that's your number 1 priority to make sure its warm. Also, you need to make sure no wind is blowing on her so put a blanket around your arm and the carrier as well to block the cold wind from blowing on her face. If you can't pick up a cover for the carrier you need to dress her in really warm clothes, a winter coat, gloves, and warm shoes.

  • Sling or wrap. Large zip-up jacket over both of you. She will be snug as a bug in a rug. You can even line the sling with a blanket... but I never needed to.

  • Zip her up in the carrier cover, put a warm hat on her head -make sure that ears ore covered, and try to keep the kind out of her face. :D

  • Baby-wearing worked best for us; keeping her zipped in one of our coats protected her from the wind. I will say, it was a challege getting a baby in a snow suit in and out of the carrier.

  • if you have a snow suit, use that with the carrier cover. if not, put 2 or 3 longsleeves and 2 or 3 pants on her and she should be fine. of course have a hat on her. put a nice thick blanket on top of her if u dont have a snow suit. if you have a compatible stroller with your car seat take that and put the umbrella thingy, thats on the carseat, up and a blanket over that to keep out the wind. she should do just fine. its not like you'll be standing around watching clouds go by. you're going to a dr. appt. have fun and stay warm!!! =]
