It's the slim one with video and it won't turn on and it won't even charge.

  • Did you reset it?
There is a switch on the top. Toggle that and back. Then push and hold the Menu and center button until you see the apple. Then let go and try to turn it on. Good luck.

  • If you have an Apple store, take it there. Even if thats not where you got it, they will fix it. I bought mine from Wal-Mart last year and started having issues with it (turning itself off and on and other fun quirks!). And they said that they would have to send it away and that they didnt deal with the warranty that it was through Apple themselves blah blah. So I took it to the Apple store (where they sell computers and other things) at the mall and they fixed it, no questions asked!

  • Is it still under warranty?

  • call Apple first. My daughter had trouble with hers doing the same and Apple walked her throught to get it working. If that doesn't help take it back for an exchange. Most places don't take electronics back without a receipt.
