month old has rash on left eye, in the corner by the tear duct. it is on the surface of the skin not inside. about 13 tiny tiny little bumps redish at the bottom with white on the tip. has anyone had exp with this. cant get a doc appt for a few days

  • Is her eye drippy or goopy? Could be her skin reacting to whatever comes out of it. If the duct itself seems infected, you can use a clean washcloth with warm water and massage gently with your finger, moving down and away from the eye, every hour she's awake. Keep the area with the rash clean (warm water) till you can get your appointment. I would talk to the pediatric nurse first before bringing him in, though, because it may not even be necessary. They have a lot of skin stuff in these early days.

  • If you are breastfeeding you can put some breastmilk in the eye.
