Christians, do any of you wonder where God is after this Haiti earthquake?

It's so horrific!

  • I believe it happened because Satan is the ruler of this world. It wont be like this forever. God will put an end to it.

(Revelation 12:9) So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him.

(Psalm 37:10-11) And just a little while longer, and the wicked one will be no more; And you will certainly give attention to his place, and he will not be. 11 But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.

  • No, it is terrible, but it doesn't make me wonder where God is. God is where He always is, He is the same place He was a week ago. He is at work all over the earth drawing people to His great love. Earthquakes like these are signs.

Jesus told us that in the last days there would be great earthquakes, and natural disasters. He warned us. He is still at work.

  • necro, i have not heard one Christian say that so while there might be a few Christians that say that to use a word that would point towards a majority of Christians is wrong.

  • No I do not wonder where God was. He is right where He always has been. Cinnamon mom hit it nail on head!

I dont believe that, there are many people that do practice voodoo, but the majority of that country are Catholics, i dont agree with Catholics, but they love God and are definitely not against him.

  • An earthquake is the shaking of the ground caused by an abrupt shift of rock along a fracture in the Earth, called a fault. They are not signs of the end of the world.

3 While he was sitting upon the Mount of Olives, the disciples approached him privately, saying: “Tell us, When will these things be, and what will be the sign of your presence and of the conclusion of the system of things?”

4 And in answer Jesus said to them: “Look out that nobody misleads YOU; 5 for many will come on the basis of my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many. 6 YOU are going to hear of wars and reports of wars; see that YOU are not terrified. For these things must take place, but the end is not yet.

7 “For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be food shortages and earthquakes in one place after another. 8 All these things are a beginning of pangs of distress.
