whats the diet acronym?

There is an acronym for the right foods to offer when a child is sick...but i cant remember?

  • Brat diet, but it is not recommended anymore because of the lack of nutrition. Offer foods they can tolerate is what they mainly do now.

  • My doctors have had us try it several different times w/ my son and his diarrhea. And it is the BRAT diet, like said above w/ the bananas and rice etc.

  • Yes, it's the BRAT diet, but I do believe it's specifically for kids who are throwing up or have diarrhea. Just be careful with the applesauce...maybe it's just my kids, but it tends to MAKE them go #2.
