  • They don't recommend you do wear it at night. If not properly maintained it can lead to TSS which can lead to serious complications or death.

  • because during the day you are up and moving around (Gravity works! LOL)

  • From the pamphlet in the tampon package:

"Can I wear a tampon overnight? How long can I leave it in?"
"Yes. You can wear a tampon overnight for up to eight hours. If you plan to use a tampon overnight, insert a new tampon before going to sleep and change it as soon as you wake up. If you think you will sleep more than 8 hours, use a pad instead."

Nowhere does it say that it is recommended not to wear one at night. It only says "You can reduce the risk of TSS by alternating use of tampons with feminine pads. You can avoid any possible risk of tampon-related TSS by not using tampons."

Please try and answer the question at hand. Thank you, OP
