what happens to an eyelash when you cant get it out? (when it rolls to the back of your eye or something)

Most times i am able to get them out; but every now and again there is one that just "gets away" and i wondered for the 1st time this morning where does it actually go? cause they burn so bad when they are on your eye or surrounding area!

  • I think they bug you for awhile and then a few days later you'll feel something at the corner of your eye and that's it, coming out.

  • usually they are absorbed by your body, just like dust or anything else that you get in your eye. Sometimes your body will expell them out the corner at a later time, and at times your eye may 'puss' just a little getting rid of all the stuff that doesn't belong in it. (Like eye boogers or 'sleepies')

  • Eyes, ears, nose, and throat are all connected. In theory, it is possible for anything that enters your eye to migrate into your sinuses and come out your nose or get into your throat and be swallowed.

  • Your eye eats it! No, really, idk. I'm sure it's what ecodani said.
