If the goverment ask you to house one child in need of a temporary home and would give you money to cover food,clothes and basic medical needs,would you?

  • Actually, that's not all that is required in foster care. I think some people are being a lil harsh. Yes, most people would gladly take in a child temporarily if the gvt. paid all living expenses. However, to actually be a foster parent requires more than just letting a child stay in your home. You have to have a certain amount of space, a certain income level, and SEVERAL more requirements for you to be approved. I am adopting a child (even a family member) but still have to undergo all these same requirements. Let's not judge people b/c they are not fostering, because frankly it takes more to be a parent than to have somewhere for a kid to be housed temporarily.
