How did you know if you were starting to dialate?

  • You dont NEED to know when and if youre dilated at all. Vaginal Exams and Dilation are just another way to control the labor process... that should not be controlled at all.

  • you dont need to know. i knew cuz i kept going into labor and having problems so i was in out of the hospital. but just cuz you are dialting it doent mean your going into labor. i was 4cm at 28 with my first and i deliver at 38 wks. with ds i was 3 xcm at 32 kws,. i had him at 37. dialtion doent mean anything unless your in full blown labor.

  • If you start dialating alot you will start bleeding- that's how I knew. As you dialte the blood vessles start to rupture.

  • I never had any exams, so .... labor!

    (*And no bleeding either, that doesn't happen for all labors, obviously.)
