my baby girl is 10 days old and she has not used the bathroom in 2 days (Pooped) what can i do for her? anything? Thanks

  • As long as she's peeing, you'll know she's getting enough and is not dehydrated or starving. You won't see as many poopy diapers as you will peepee ones at first. She will let you know if she's constipated.

  • It is not unusual for a breastfed baby to go more than a week without a bowel movement.

  • it's ok not to poo often for a newborn, esp breastfed ones...it's the texture that you need to look at that will indicated whether she's constipated or not.

  • I thought that breastfed babies pooped MORE and that formula fed babies poop less...

  • anon: Formula fed babies tend to get CONSTIPATED. Breastfed babies can poop several times a day a little bit each time, or one large poop per day, or one ginormous omigoshwhereweretheyhidingthat poop once every week withOUT being constipated.
