What is the best site to find good prices on hotel rooms?

  • Honestly? The hotel itself. Expedia and Travelocity craps have never worked for me.

  • priceline and hotwire are somethings good. my husband is the one that handles it though, he always does the name your own price on priceline, but it still has to be a resonable price, and you can only try it once a day..so if it gets denied you have to wait 24hrs and try again.

  • Once you've settled on 2 or 3 hotels, call the actual hotels and what they can do for you.

  • You will almost always get a better deal contacting the hotel chain themselves. Sign up for their newsletters and often they'll send you cheaper rates. Do your research on expedia or where ever but don't buy through them. Get the info and call the hotel and tell them the price quote you got and ask them to match it or beat it.
