If you'd stop shopping right now, how long could you ...

... (and your family) survive on the food that's in the house. Until literally everything is eaten. How many persons?

My estimate: around 3 weeks,
2 adults and a toddler

  • Two adults. A Toddler. And an Infant.

We could live off of our current groceries for 2-3 weeks. I could definatley see us doing that.
We buy groceries for two weeks, so we reduce the amount of time we go to the store. It saves money and headache.

  • honestly probably a 6 weeks... i have a lot of non-perishables and baking supplies, if i had to we could eat for a couple days on just the four alone, by making fry bread.

  • I'm geussing we could go for several months, and I have seriously cut back on my "stocking" over the last few years. I was raised on a farm, and I learned to shop like you might not be able to make it to the store for a month or more. My husband made fun of me a lot when we first married, but now he appreciates our well-stocked cabinets and even acts surprised when we actually are out of something.
