  • Um I say No to taxis, thats just ridiculous amount of money. Rent a car and split the money so u can both pay. Also Hollywood is far from LAX. I am from EL Segundo, ca (south bay) and Hollywood with traffic (always traffic) is 35-40 mins away. Hollywood is a bad area period but a lot of tourist people go there and alot of bums etc... But there is a ton of hidden nice expensive restaurants, night clubs celebs go. http://www.manntheatres.com/chinese/

  • How fun! I was in LA for a day and went to the beach and to a concert. We had a great time. We had no problems with traffic or finding things. We were worried LA would be difficult. Don't have any info. Have a great time!

  • LA and Southern CA in general do not build for 'walking" You might somewhere close to one or two things.. but it isn't like New Yoork...you can get a great hotel..be in the middle of the city and walk or take a train to what you want.

  • My friend and I went to Los Angeles last year. We used the public bus system. http://www.metro.net/index.asp I would also recommend renting bikes in Venice Beach. We rode down to the Santa Monica Pier and then went shopping in Santa Monica.

If you want to see the hot spots than take a bus tour. The tour we took dropped us off in Beverly Hills on Rodeo Drive, Farmers Market for lunch, Mann's Chinese Theatre, ect.
