The Red Cross has specific guidelines you'd have to follow and they may or may NOT help you locate him. Depending on the reason and the circumstances. They will verify EVERYTHING you tell them, so make sure you don't even fudge the truth. Anything that does not add up to them and you are THROUGH. Go to your local Red Cross office or call them to get that started.
If you are still married, even if you are separated, you have access to facilities on base. I would suggest contacting the base Chaplain's office for help. Doesn't have to be the base he is stationed on, just the one closest to where you are. They have resources to point you in the right direction.
Also, if you know what unit he is in, see if you can get in touch with their Family Readiness people. They might be able to assist you as well.
