  • I don't understand how they could have seperated him from you. You are married right? No united states military branch would seperate you from your spouse. You go where he goes. Now, that being said, are you guys seperated as in legally seperated?

  • Call the Red Cross or his last known base. They should be able to tell you what to do. You could also hire an attorney to find out.

  • Don't they have a Family Resource center that takes care of that? They should have covered that in Orientation.

  • The Red Cross has specific guidelines you'd have to follow and they may or may NOT help you locate him. Depending on the reason and the circumstances. They will verify EVERYTHING you tell them, so make sure you don't even fudge the truth. Anything that does not add up to them and you are THROUGH. Go to your local Red Cross office or call them to get that started.

If you are still married, even if you are separated, you have access to facilities on base. I would suggest contacting the base Chaplain's office for help. Doesn't have to be the base he is stationed on, just the one closest to where you are. They have resources to point you in the right direction.

Also, if you know what unit he is in, see if you can get in touch with their Family Readiness people. They might be able to assist you as well.

Legal concerns? Contact JAG on the nearest base.

HTH. Things may have changed since mine retired. Good luck.

  • Try to contact his chain of command... the red cross won't forward it as an emergency or may not at all... seems like there is way more to this... if this is even the real story... sorry to sound skeptical but you are leaving out a LOT of important information... btw, the military doesn't have to send the wives if the spouse doesn't want them too. fact. they have a term continential bachelor for a reason.
