Cindy Sheehan Leads Protest at Dick Cheney's Home?

LANGLEY, Virginia — A group led by anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan has protested near the CIA's headquarters and former Vice President Dick Cheney's home in northern Virginia.

They were protesting the use of unmanned drone aircraft to attack al-Qaida and Taliban targets.

The group of about 70 people rallied alongside a highway near the CIA compound Saturday. About half then marched to Cheney's nearby street and stayed for 20 minutes. Police kept them from going down his street.,2933,583199,00.html

Does this seem senseless to you? Shouldn't she be protested outside the White House, since President Obama is the one ordering the surge in Afghanistan?

  • I have No idea why she is protesting outside Dick's house, unless she has a crush on him, he no longer has any sya in what goes on

  • No, it isn't senseless. It will get her some publicity for her cause. Frankly, the president isn't the only one fighting the war. Dick Cheney is a leader in this country, and the article also mentions that they protested near CIA headquarters. Frankly, it makes sense to protest anywhere as long as you are clear about what you are protesting.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA...How is Dick Chaney a leader of the country NOW? makes good sense ;) the far left CRAZIES who havent figured out that Bush and Co are no longer in office LOL

  • Who is far-left here? Nobody. Is Cheney in office? No. But some people still know wneough enough to protest against the people behind the scenes who always decide what is best for this country. Darth Cheney still has influence even if he has no "title" or position is best if everyone would just admit it.

  • You REALLY think in a Dem controlled Hose, Senate, AND white house that has Pelosi and Reid at the helm, that Chaney would have ANY wiggle room? I would LOVE to hear how you figure THAT. PLEASE show me.

  • It is naive to think that Cheney has any kind of pull but his voice. Cindy Sheehan isn't exactly the brain child of good decisions, is she? She continues to protest everyone but the current commander in chief. I guess we know who she gives a pass to.

And by the way, I love Dick Cheney. The man knows how to make a decision. That is one skill our current president could surely use. It isn't likely since he is so incredibly inexperienced.

  • Her bank account must be low. Time to sell more t-shirts since nobody will pay her for interviews anymore.

  • I doubt very much that PRESIDENT OBAMA is taking advice from one of the most despised Vice Presidents in history. Cheney's political clout is pretty thin.

We have a Democratic controlled President, Congress and Senate. They are in charge of the war now.  Cindy should be protesting Reid's and Pelosi's houses, in addition to White House.

  • LOL NotPanicking. That's exactly what I was thinking. Her protests really are old news especially since she's protesting to the wrong people.
