  • sit them in a warm bath and let it slowly get colder

  • Go to the hospital or free clinic...they should be able to give you some....if a fever gets too above 105....or so...the temp guidelines vary some depending on the age and size of the child....but if it gets too high your child can experience seizures or brain damage.

  • as long as your child is not "grumpy" don't worry about tylenol for a fever. A fever is the body's natural way of taking care of infections. You take away the fever, and it takes longer to completely get better.

  • How high is the fever? You can try a warm bath (not cold) and loose cotton clothes. You might consider asking any neighbor or friends who have kids to borrow some meds till it comes down.

  • I agree but I'd also call the pharmacy and ask. Some manufacturer's donate meds but you have to ask. Sometimes your doctor will have samples too

  • Do you have a neighbor you can borrow some from?

  • I would try the lukewarm bath myself as well.

It IS true about it is natural about a bodies way of fighting infections, but depending on how HIGH it is, and for how long he/she has had it.

I would ask a neighbor also if you can to borrow a teaspoon or two for now.........If not, call your pediatrician.

  • You can call a pharmacy and ask them what you can give in your situation. Likely they will tell you that they have some they can give as a sample.

  • To add to the lukewarm bath. Try putting in one cup of Epson salt, one cup of Apple Cider Vinegar, and about a teaspoon of ground ginger. If you have these thing. This helps to draw the infection out of the body and relax the muscles.
If you can't get the temp to come down, you need to get your LO in ASAP.
