  • I would not consider a person a single mom if she has a live in partner who helps her pay bills and she can depend on to help with the kids if anything happens to her. That's not single. That's a couple.

  • If the boyfriend takes on the man of the house role then I wouldn't consider her a single mom... I guess it depends on who you are and how you look at things.

  • I think you are still considered a single mom until 'someone' puts a ring on your finger. You are still available to move on from that man without a divorce, so technically you are still the SINGULAR parent raising that child.
