Why don't JW's use a regular bible like the KJV?

Why do they have there own bible? Why can't they use the KJV??

  • For the same reason a Catholic uses a Catholic version of the Bible and Muslims use the Koran. Each cult uses their own "bible".

  • Because there's is true to the original. The KJV is not.

  • we believe that the translation that we use is good, so we use it. however we've used other bibles as well, some use the kjv, i dont mind it either, but the one we use is in plain english and easier for me to use. Everyone has a translation that they favor, this is the one we favor.
