Do your children smell different when they're sick?

All three of mine do. I've always been able to tell if they were really sick or faking just by sniffing them.

  • Yep....I think it is the body releasing the toxins through the skin and breath.

I think alot of people just aren't aware or attuned to it though. But think about how bad a hospital, nursing home and old people's house smell. It is overwhelming for me.

  • Sometimes. Not always. I've noticed that if I'm very sick, I tend to smell a bit different too.

  • Mine do, but only if they're pretty sick. If it's just a cold or something mild they smell fine.

  • No, they bathe when they were sick too just to lower their temperature. I also kept changing bed sheets and bath towels every other day.

  • Yes, their breath usually has what I call "sick breath" and it's not from poor hygiene.
