  • really all you NEED is

    clothes
carseat (if you'll be driving at all)
something to sleep in like bassinet or crib (unless you are going to co-sleep)

other stuff that is really good

    breast pads
    bath tub
    pacifiers

    good luck :)

  • Socks
    Onesies
    Wash Cloths
    Towels
    Baby soap
    Lotion
    Sleepers
    Diapers
    Wipes
    Bottles
Pacifier (if your going to let her)
    Burp Cloths
Desitin (or some sort of diaper rash cream)
Alcohol swaps (to clean the umbilical cord area)
    Thin Blankets for swaddling
    Crib/bassinet
    changing table
    bouncer/swing

i think thats all i had for my son, of course I breastfed for awhile so I had a breast pump and all the good stuff that goes with that

  • Sling.
    Nursing pads.
Area for baby to sleep -- crib, pack and play, bassinet, etc.
    Diaper pail
DONT get a changing table -- waste of money.
Breast pump if you want breaks from feeding, and bottles -- I like the Playtext Drop Ins.
    Bath baby sling

Those were my essentials, besides clothing. Congrats!

  • things I absolutely cannot live without with a one week old are: sleepers, breast pads (i'm breastfeeding but you will need them even if you aren't), lots of diapers, wipes, carseat, stroller, changing table (personal preference, some people don't like them), burp cloths, recieving blankets, socks, and some cute outfits for when you leave the house, and somewhere for baby to sleep. my nursing cover has also been a lifesaver, I am not a fan of flashing people lol
