How often do you work your legs & arims?

I alternate my days. I do legs one day, arms the next & sometimes the next day is just cardio & then I start over. And somedays I don't do just cardio. I start with whatever I didn't do the day before. i workout 4-5 days a week. Is that too much or not enough?

  • Unless I'm doing Active, which is more like circuit training, I do 20 minutes strength followed by 20-30 minutes cardio 5 times/wk. Not counting the workout from cardio, I hit legs and arms at least once each week, and some weeks one of them will land twice (my routines work arms, legs, back, core, so every week a different one hits twice). When I'm using Active that takes the 5th day and I do a full hour with a little of everything.

  • I do everything 4-5 times a week. half an hour is cardio and the last half hour I do weight training on everything.

  • I guess it depends on how toned you want to be. I do legs, abs and arms 4 days a week, 10 minutes each and I do cardio 5 days a week for 40 minutes each time. If I ever want to be more toned I just add on 10 more minutes. Cardio and strength training are two different things in my mind and you need both to stay fit, so setting aside time to do both and do both well is important.
