Cat in heat?

Does anyone know how to tell if my cats in heat, if so does anyone know how long it lasts?

  • there butts are up in the air...they get louder...u can just tell when u hear it...and can last anyweres from 3 days to a week. ggod luck.

  • They meow a lot, they raise their hind end's up, and will practically molest you with affection..They act crazy. seriously.

  • their tail will also flip to the side when their butt is up in the air. and OMG LOUD!

    if your cat is indoors all the time, it totally sucks because their body's get basically tricked into being in heat ALL the time. The only solution is to get her fixed or let her have some sex.

  • mine always meowed alot for no reason and it was a weird meow. It sounded weird and kinda like she was dying or something.

  • My 1st cat was fixed when we bought her. The second one was a soon to be stray kitten that we just couldn't let be booted out on the street. She is now almost a yr. old, and is in heat. Her little butt is in the air at all times, she meow's loud and crazy non-stop, and she is starting to spray. ARGH!! We've been trying to find a place that will spay her for really cheap, which is a challenge in itself. sigh.

  • I am a registered Vet tech. Most of the time cats will stay in heat until they are bred. You need to get her spayed ASAP. Female cats usually will meow or want to stay outdoors cause they want to be bred. The will sometimes get aggressive.
