  • I think if she feels comfortable wearing one, she should. I think this is an "it's up to you" kind of thing. Not medically neccesary, but good practice maybe.

  • Personally, I'd just go with a panty liner if it helps her worry less and keep a pad in her purse or backpack so she doesn't get caught off guard.

  • My daughter's 12 & been having discharge for over a yr & still hasn't started hers. She does use a pantyliner sometimes but sometimes she just forgets.

  • I agree with the rest of the moms, If she feels more comfortable with a pad, go for it. If she hasn't tried pantie liners maybe get her some and let her see whats more comfortable for her.

  • Let her try it out around the house, (pantyliner) if it doesn't bother her, then it prob. would make her feel a bit more fresh, and keep her a bit dryer down there, therefore a bit more sanitary. My daughter is 11 1/2 and I know she's on the verge so I keep meaning to get her some, but I keep 4-getting. sigh. She just started complaining that it feels kinda gross, so to save myself from doing laundry 24/7 to keep her in clean undies, pantyliners would prob. be the smarter way to go. Do what you feel best
