an army question

my dh friend said he was in the staff on the army...he is a major.but the only thing i have ever heard of is a staff seargent??(i am watching dr oz and a staff seargent is onthat lost her leg)my question is is there a staff major or would he just be a staff seargent????

  • He could be a civilian working on staff for the army.

  • if he is a major he s an officer and no way would confuse the rank of staff sargeant which is enlisted. His job may be classified as on a special staff within his unit. If he's a staff claiming to be a major he just broke a zillion rules and is going to get himself in serious trouble if caught since it's illegal to pose as an officer.

  • i called my dh out of curiosity and he said he was definitly in the army and he said he was a major and on staff to the general??is this so?is there such a thing???

  • Yes, he can be a Major and on the General's staff.
