food intake

my dd went from eating about 6-8 oz of formula every couple of hours now she is only drinking 3-4oz should i be concerned

  • 6-8 ounces every couple of hours seems like a lot for a 2 month old. Maybe she is getting better at knowing when she feels full and is better able to end the feeding. Sometimes when they are really young they can just keep swallowing because the milk keeps coming even though they are really full.
    How is she acting otherwise? If she is still just as alert and happy, then she is probably fine. If she is suddenly eating a lot less AND she is lethargic or really fussy then you'll want to call the Dr.

  • has your baby lost weight?...if not then i dont think there is anything to worry about she might just become full alot sooner then before...like the answer above me she might just realize she is not hungry anymore... as they get older they start to slow down on eating as much...
