tax questions

okay i worked for piccadilly from 2008- to aug 2009. i will be recieving a w2 from them. but from aug 2009 to present i got into my own cleaning business. now i kno i have to file a1099 form but i was going to do turbotax. im trying to find out is there any reciepts i have to send in to the irs? what will they ask for?

  • You will not have to send anything to the IRS but your return. File honestly and keep all your receipts in a safe place in the case that you are audited. If you are audited, you need to have all your receipts handy so that you can back up all your expenses with receipts for EVERYTHING. Remember that audits are random and that you must file ALL income.

  • IRS will just want your return and any schedules related to the return (such as Sch A, or C.) Keep your reciepts. A 1099 and W-2 will already be filed with the IRS by your employer.
