How do I stop my 4 yr old son licking his chin? now has red raw sores.

  • This is happening to my 3 1/2 year old nephew right now. He constantly licks his chin and then rubs his cheeks and his whole face is red and raw. My sister says they have tried different ointments, but it is impossible to do while he's awake because he just wipes it right off. They are putting triple antibiotic ointment on when he's sleeping.

  • My step daughter (also 3 1/2) kept licking her lips and it looked like she had a permanent kool-aid mustache lol. I put Vick's on it, and not only has the redness subsided, but she doesn't like the taste of it and has stopped licking.
