  • Wait, that's a trick question. We ALL work for less than what we're worth. That's how the real world works. They pay you less than what you're worth, but just enough to keep you crawling back.......................................

  • He does not want to, but he will.

  • Yes - he would do whatever he had to in order to keep our family fed, housed and in clothes. I'm glad we aren't in the position, but am confident he would do it - we talked about it back when the recession started before we were pretty sure it wouldn't affect him.

  • Yes. BOTH of us will do whatever it takes to keep a roof over our heads and provide for our family on our own, without government help.

There was a time when we both held full time jobs, and alternated working overnight shifts at our local Wegman's, and sold just about everything we really didn't need, when times got tough financially (I ended up in the ICU with an illness soon after my husband had started a new job and 2 weeks before his employer health insurance plan kicked in--so our hospital bills weren't covered!) BUT, we managed to work out a payment plan with the hospital, and in 18 months paid off the bill.

  • He would if he could. Our job market here is near impossible to get anything, to the point where he has been applying for even the crappiest jobs still without success. I have more job experience & even I can't find anything. We ended up having to rely on government aid & family even though we didn't want that for our family after both of us grew up that way...but with a 3month old we will do what we have to to keep him warm & fed. Thankfully our aid here in California helps aid you in finding employment as well, it is not just a handout which makes us feel better about getting the help we need right now. Both of us would take even the most degrading (but legal) job right now if it meant we would be self-supporting & not having to rely on help from others anymore. Unfortunately even those are seemingly impossible at the moment.

  • He is right now. He's looking for another job, but until he finds one, he's getting totally screwed at work. But he won't just quit, b/c he knows he has responsibilities and that quitting isn't going to pay the bills or solve anything.
