  • kids go through phases. unfortunately they don't eat how we want them to eat and how the doctors recommend that they eat. only in a perfect world. if she is eating well, thriving and developing well then let her have peanut butter. my daughter is in an eating phase right now and first i was completely distraught over it because i felt like i was a bad mom, but i can not force her to eat.

  • I think for anyone to just eat one thing all the time is unhealthy but most kids go through a phase like this where they want to eat the same thing all the time. If she is truly just eating peanut butter and nothing else then you might need to curb it but if not she'll likely move past this phase and be just fine.

  • As long as it is real peanut butter (the only ingredient should be peanuts), then is it fine.

  • You could use the peanut butter to get her to try and eat other food. Put peanut butter on apples or celery, panut butter sauce to try other foods.

  • ditto rkoloms.

but what is she eating it with? bread, vegetable, fruit? use that to get some more nutrients and stuff into her - as well as the peanut butter.

but as she gets older and closer to school age (you didn't say how old she is) - you need to help her branch out more as many schools are nut free.

  • Peanut butter is an amazing source of protein, Kids go through phases and will be ok. My son ate fried eggs 3 times a day for a month.

  • As long as its the good kind of peanut butter its ok, its actually very nutritious. The kinds that have added stuff like high fructose corn syrup and hydrogenated oils should be avoided completely.
I assume that she is eating the peanut butter on bread? Add slices of banana on whole grain bread and you have a very healthy sandwich there!

  • Do not allow her to only eat peanutbutter. She has to have a variety of foods. You can get her on a multi and you can get her pedia sure so you don't have to fight her at every meal. But you should tell her no more peanutbutter until she tries new things too.
